Our Design Fees
We have 4 tiers of design fees based on the complexity of your design request. Depending on our current design schedule, we ask our customers to please allow approximately 1 - 2 weeks from purchase unless otherwise stated or agreed upon. The tiers are as follows:
Tier 1 - AED150
1-2 hour design for minor modifications to an existing design on our store or a wall mock up showing one of our designs in your space.
Includes a sample.
Tier 2 - AED350
2-5 hour design for a simple straight forward pattern design.
Includes a sample.
Tier 3 - AED550
5-10 hour design for a more detailed pattern or simple mural design.
Includes a sample.
Tier 4 - AED750
10+ hour design for a full scale, detailed mural design or intricate pattern. Includes a sample.

Our Custom Wallpaper Process
It all begins with a WhatsApp chat! We will explore your preferred design elements, preferences, and inspirations. We will ask you to share your vision or photos, (along with your wall size), and will let you know if it's a design we can do for you. We will also share the cost to create your personal pattern or mural. Our team will advise how long your design will take. Usually between 1 - 2 weeks depending on the complexity of the design.
Following your initial WhatsApp consultation and agreed payment, the design team will get to work to transform your vision. They will contact you if they have any further questions and will strive to deliver the concept within the agreed time frame.
We'll present our initial concepts, but your feedback is what refines and shapes the final look. This collaboration ensures your wallpaper captures exactly what you had envisioned. Our service includes 2 rounds of design amends and samples until you're happy with the design. Whilst design fees are non refundable, if the design does not hit the spot, we will relook at your brief to see how we can modify the design further.
Once the initial custom wallpaper design is ready to print, it’s time to talk about materials and textures. Our team will guide you through the material types and help you make the right choice that will harmonise with your vision and current decor. We will then send you samples on that material so you can check the colours.
We consult with you throughout the final design process, making sure that you're happy with the colours, design and texture of the samples and that the finished product is exactly how you envisioned it to be. Once you've approved, we're ready to print your final wallpaper.
Behind the scenes, our custom wallpaper design team coordinates with trusted production partners to print your wallpaper and bring your design to life. Once it's printed, we're ready to install by our professional installation team who always work with precision, attention to detail, and quality craftsmanship.
Our custom design terms: Unless a customer has submitted their own designs or photography for us to print, any custom designs created by Stories For Walls remain the intellectual property of Stories For Walls and we reserve the right to sell those customised designs on our website. All custom designs must be printed by Stories For Walls. Any artwork commissioned by Stories For Walls cannot be printed elsewhere.
