How We Work
WE PRINT JUST FOR YOU
Every wallpaper we print is unique just for you. We do not sell wallpapers in rolls or have batches of the same wallpaper in stock. Instead we customise our designs to fit into your wall's shape as best we can and rely on samples to check all colours. We cross reference your sample before we print and then print your wallpaper in a unique batch just for you, with as little wastage as possible.
The end result is a beautiful, retro fitted mural to your wall and no wasted costs on those extra 'just in case' rolls. Need that giraffe to move a little to the left? No problem. As we're the creators of our murals, we may be able to move some elements in the design to ensure that all the important elements are visible in your installed product.
It is the most cost efficient way to order a mural wallpaper and it's why our wallpapers look so perfect on your wall.
YOU ARE INVOLVED EVERY STEP OF THE WAY
Once you have purchased your wallpaper we will get to work and create your artwork. Nothing is ever sent to print without your final approval. We will send your artwork via email to the address you provided in your order. In our email we will ask you to double check your measurements (if you did not order our measuring service) to ensure the correct size is sent to print. We will also ask you to check the colours and layout in the design and we will also ask you if you ordered any samples so we can cross reference before printing. Once you approve your artwork it will be regarded as final and then we send your artwork to print. Our operations manager will be in touch to let you know when your installation is scheduled. Depending on our current schedule, from wallpaper purchase to installation usually takes 7-10 business days.
MADE TO MEASURE VS BULK PRINTING
Many wallpaper companies print by the roll. This means they print a design in large batches (i.e. in bulk) and keep stock. The colours will remain consistent for each batch. However, if you don't order enough material and find you have to order extra rolls, there's a chance that your second order will be printed in a different batch on a different day, and will no longer match the colours of your original order.
We operate differently.
We are a made to measure wallpaper company. We don't print in bulk and instead we customise the design for our customer's wall size and then print their wallpaper in one unique batch just for them. This means that the colours can vary with each print so to ensure our customers are happy with the colours, we rely on customers ordering samples. Before we print your final wallpaper, we will both check if you ordered samples and will also ask you if any samples were ordered by you or your stylist.
If you ordered samples please always let us know, so we can ensure your sample colours match your final wallpaper.
If you did not order enough material but you did order a sample, this really helps us match your colours for your wallpaper patch as closely as possible.
ON SCREEN VS FINAL PRINT
Our product images on our website are only a guide to how your final wallpaper will look. Your final wallpaper's colours and layout may look slightly different for the following reasons:
- We have modified the layout to fit your wall size.
- Looking at colours on screens (either on your computer monitor or mobile phone) will never exactly match printed materials.
- We offer 4 different materials and each material absorbs inks differently so colour results can vary. Colours in the real world on fabrics and wallpaper materials will always differ from virtual/onscreen colours. We cannot represent every material's colour result on screen and therefore rely on samples instead.
The best way to ensure you're happy with your final wallpaper is to:
- order samples so you can check colours
- keep us informed of any sample orders so we can cross reference before we print your final wallpaper
- make sure you check your artwork overview file we sent to you before printing, to make sure you're completely happy with the layout and sizes.
